Very glad to have her perspective here, I would feel much more out of place without it. I’m sad to see any of the authentic misery that makes someone come around these places but there always seems to be an admirable and inspiring drive to push beyond it, which is its own form of encouragement. And then there’s a lot of good support for others and also some really great blogposting that helps give some different colors around here.
This actually encourages me so much. I love oldschool forums and try to post in a way that maybe makes it possible for this place to replicate the glorious forum days of old.

If you improve, maybe people might tell others. Some users also sometimes unblock everybody and start blocking again, so if you become better than you used to be maybe they will not block you this time. In any case you improving comes first, as nobody here has an obligation to interact with or entertain others. You cannot expect people to sacrifice their free time and sanity for you while at the same time rejecting their advice and answering their kindness with hostility against yourself and all of us.

What are your favourite RPGs?
So far, chrono trigger. Yeah ik its a popular pick , but lately ive been really interested in getting into them further. For a while i thought that most turn-based rpgs were boring, but chrono trigger changed my mind. I have a bit of a bad habit of picking up and dropping games before making it to the end, even if i did actually like them though
As a kid i really liked some of the mario rpgs, like ttyd and bowser’s inside story too
Good choice. In my opinion Chrono Trigger is the best game ever made. My favourite is The World Ends With You though. It actually changed my outlook on life.
oooh yeah i wanna play TWEWY too, ive heard people raving about it for years. And any game with a stylish art direction like that will immediately perk up my interest, I’ll check out that and the smt/persona series after wrapping up Mother 3 and Dragon warrior/quest 1

I asked online “which dragon quest game should i play first in order to get into the series”, and they said i should play the original version of the first game
Why would they say that…Dragon Quest is extremely archaic even its newer releases and remakes. I like older games, but not even I am such a purist that I would recommend that over the remakes. They also look really cool.
Another recommendation is Octopath Traveler 2 btw., I honestly think it is one of the greatest JRPGs of the last 20 years. I adore it.
