I feel like I have no place as a non binary person. Mainstream spaces are full of tucutes, but 4tran adjacent spaces seem to get more and more weird like that. Am I still welcome here? Is my dysphoria enough or are we already actual anti-enby transmedicalists now?

This is the post btw: https://www.reddit.com/r/4tran4/comments/1sczen7/comment/oehh2ss/

Google what transmed means for me real quick

It jsut comes from the tucute/truscum debate on tumblr I’m pretty sure (which was about needing dysphoria to be trans)

“A person who believes that medically-diagnosed gender dysphoria or medical transition are essential traits of being transgender.”

the key part is the “medical diagnosis” which is literally where “transMED” comes from. someone who generally thinks dysphoria is needed to be trans would be truscum if they really want a word to describe themselves with.

ive exclusively seen people self identify with the term truscum, never seen it in an insulting kind of context. ive seen transmed used more as an insult or “slur”.

Same thing, it wss also made up to be an insult on tumblr back in the day that’s where the word comes from idiot

also, to quote wikipedia “Transmedicalism is the belief that being transgender is primarily a medical issue marked by gender dysphoria and treated via medical transition”
