I tried to make an igloo but the school said snow forts couldn’t have roofs because if the snow caved in it could kill a child so they wouldn’t allow igloos so I just had to build snow forts with walls only

I just now started a late-start accelerated college class, so technically my NEET is over. If this doesn’t go too bad I may actually take a normal amount of classes next semester or the semester after that. We’ll see.

Geography is my major, and probably the one I’ll see through till the end, as it accomodates both my social science and natural science interests, and as I’m atrocious at math environmental science was never an option. I used to major in anthropology with a focus on comparative cultural/political anthropology and archeology, but academic anxiety got the better of me the more I realized that path 110% had no future where I was employed, and I could just study it in my free-time anyways. I’d be fine with a career in environmental surveying, urban planning, and/or Geographic Information Systems / GIS.

My personal dream is to be part of some rewilding efforts, like, settle down in some remote part of the woods and make concrete steps towards both revitalizing the ecosystem and creating something of a food forest. Permaculture is also cool, and I wanna get better at cooking for my girlfriends sake. When we stop being long-distance I want to spoil her.

Yeah, often the hardest part with helping out in the dirt for me is getting myself to stop looking inward and peer outward into meatspace for once lmfaoooo. But my theory is that the more you make your yardwork something you actually subsist off of, and the more purpose-driven it is, the easier it’ll be to be present and to be positively productive. When you’re otherwise living a pretty normie industriod life but you just happen to have a family garden that merely supplements groceries, it’s gotta be much easier to mentally check out and feel less of a responsibility to oneself to escape the derealized stupor. Doubly so if it’s an effort that’s not initiated by you or taken on under your own responsibility, y’know? I like to think I’d be more capable of coming into my own when my effort exerted is better reflected in the things I can put on the dinner table. Not to say we wouldn’t also be getting groceries tho, but decreased reliance on moneyed trade to sustain our lifestyle while also giving back to our environment is certainly the ideal, which to my mind would reach perfection when fruits and vegetables that grow on the land around us is like 85% of our diet, and then some occasional treats from the grocery store and vitamin supplements make up the remaining 15.

Aha woaw thankies ur awesome too PAT! I kinda forgot to mention my gf is something of an organizer in her local scene, so I’m likely to start getting a lot more hands-on experience doing cool things with cool people when I move out of this white-flight suburban hell, and that actually does have me feeling pretty optimistic. Also the cooking aspiration is largely inspired by her gluten intolerance and veganism making certain culinary experiences inconvenient. Like I wanna be able to effortlessly whip up some vegan gluten-free blueberry muffins or whatever at a moments notice whenever she’s feeling down :). Atm most of what I do is boil lentils in water, throw potatoes in the microwave, and shovel all kinds of vitamins down my throat, but I feel like my love for her and dedication to her overall happiness is ultimately helping to push me over this slump of actually learning how to cook and homemake and take care of myself and others and stuff. Choders having a little adulting arc

currently interested in learning more communist theory and slowly abandoning my leftist anticommunist (anarchist) ideas. it feels like things are finally starting to make sense somehow and i don’t feel as jaded and cynical with politics anymore.

    favorite field

History, I guess. used to be mega autistic about it… (WW2 and HItler history… yes I was that type.) but now just kinda don’t care about deeper stuff but I do have a soft spot for it… just too deabiliated and depressed to bother doing actual research abt it. everyone used to call me genius for knowing basic shit

    what interests you

    nothing worthwhile

if you’re in college, what’s your major and planned career?

not in college yet, I have nothing planned. I do think of picking history though… better than nothing I guess.

My favorite field is this cool place not too far from my residence. There are always a lot of birds there and it’s a public park, so I can go there when I want.

I’m the kind of person who always wanted to be great and had like delusions of grandeur as a child so my interests are varied. I’m your standard wannabe Renaissance person but without any of the effort or actual talent or commitment to a certain path.

I am the person who owns a dostoyewski novell but never touched it and is too lazy to read it.

    But to answer your question…

My fields of interest are existentialist philosophy, decolonial thought, comparative theology, literature, postmodernism, psychoanalysis and marxist poltical theory and all that kinda stuff

I’m currently studying philosophy as a major in university and have no job or career future ahead…

So yeah… I’m the supreme performative lefty.

Yeah well it would be if I wasn’t just a video essay watching neet and instead actually read theory and would write and actually study instead of pretending to be smart

Natural sciences, flowers, life and soul. I’m in a medical field(physiotherapy) but i want to be a medical doctor if i can. I’m probably gonna be a physio first but I’m undecided. I like cars and cool stuff. I like order. I liked the delusions of past me who believed there was good in people. I see bad people all around now…

Biology. Especially invertebrate biology. Knowing that most of life on earth evolved from spineless organisms, and then simple life like single cells organisms before that, is extremely interesting. I’m going to school for Geology but had to pivot hard to take up a trade (electrician). It’s hard to tell what I’ll be doing in the future so my goal is to try and get as many certifications as possible before the job market collapses or whatever.
