I kinda forgot to mention my gf is something of an organizer in her local scene, so I’m likely to start getting a lot more hands-on experience doing cool things with cool people when I move out of this white-flight suburban hell, and that actually does have me feeling pretty optimistic. Also the cooking aspiration is largely inspired by her gluten intolerance and veganism making certain culinary experiences inconvenient. Like I wanna be able to effortlessly whip up some vegan gluten-free blueberry muffins or whatever at a moments notice whenever she’s feeling down :). Atm most of what I do is boil lentils in water, throw potatoes in the microwave, and shovel all kinds of vitamins down my throat, but I feel like my love for her and dedication to her overall happiness is ultimately helping to push me over this slump of actually learning how to cook and homemake and take care of myself and others and stuff.
