There’s a funny update to this thread https://tranistan.com/post/tranistan.com/38968 where I was talking about finally ending the disrespect from my medical provider using male ranges for my estradiol tests so that they always show up abnormal, even when I make sure they’re seeing the bullshit wpath levels that they want to see

IT TURNS OUT that, although many have complained about this in the past, I am an especially persuasive woman, especially when I can get someone on the phone. I guess nobody ever pointed out to them that they’re echoing the bigotry of this world by forcing me to interact with the computer that is programmed to believe I will always be a man.

But wouldn’t you know it, computers are very complicated, and it’s going to be a while for them to get them fixed. Everyone sounded so sad that this was happening to me.

They’re mistaken though, because I already decided that this is not something happening to me, I am happening to them. So I let them know I will never be taking another one of their blood tests again until this issue is resolved. And I asked them if this would impact my care, if I’d be denied medication for this, if I’d have to pay for my self respect with osteoporosis.

I feel better about myself than I have in a while. It’s good to stand up for yourself!!
