Sq injections with insulin needles, should be easier. They usually are a high gauge - low diameter needle. For trying it out for the first time just get your dysphoria to be bad, think of being a hon and use that despair to inject.

I’ve never actually ever injected yet, so I’m like a blind person describing color. But that is going to be my plan basically.

I was the kid that had to be held down by nurses to have blood drawn, and even I find HRT injections super easy. It’s gonna be with a tiny ass needle, little diabetic 9 year olds are doing this shit to themselves every day. Inject below the belly button somewhere on your stomach, at an angle, bevel up, slowly inject HRT, then slowly remove, done. Takes a minute, barely hurts, only needs to be done once a week. Plenty of video’s showing it being done.

Wipe the stopper of vial and injection site with an alcohol prep pad. Draw air up to the amount your going to inject, then inject that air into the vial. Then turn the vial upside down, and slowly pull the stopper back to where you pulled it back earlier, wait for it to fill with the solution. Pinch the skin where you’ll inject. Insert at a roughly 45 degree angle. Slowly push stopper down, voila.

You don’t have to get this right 100% the first time either. I didn’t use the wipes for my first couple injections. Failing to inject the air will cause problems if you make a habit of doing that but it’s not the end of the world.

I was the same, unfortunately if you don’t have anyone willing to do it for you you just kind of have to force your way through it. I used insulin syringes since they’re tiny and less painful/intimidating

They can sting/pinch a little sometimes going in but some days I don’t even feel it, it all depends on the location. But in general the smaller the needle, the better time you’ll have

They’re just smaller than typical syringes, usually 30-31 gauge and 1mm capacity. Needles on them should be less than an inch long and are intended for subcutaneous injections, which is injecting into the fat. Best places to do that are your belly, at least 2 inches away from your belly button, or on the outside of your thighs

I personally have never done my arms but they should work on the side or back part of your upper arm yes.

Just get syringes that have needles less than an inch long but at least 3/4 of an inch to get through the skin, subq needles are shorter and thinner than intramuscular (im) needles which are around an inch and a half or bigger. Just make sure you’re feeling for the flabby part of your arm and inject it at a 90°-45° angle. It also helps to pinch the fatty area where you’re injecting cus it helps keep the needle away from muscle and makes sure it’s getting into the fat. This is why most people do belly or thigh, it’s pretty difficult to do that with your arm.

It’s nerve wracking but you can do it, if it takes a while to psyche yourself up it’s ok. My first time doing it myself I was using IM and just kept staring at the needle hovering over my leg and pacing around for almost an hour, it was horrible. Not to mention I was stupid and injecting AIR for like the first 2 MONTHS on injections but that’s another story. Just make sure you actually see liquid going into the syringe when you draw lol. It can take a long time with such thin needles, and that also means you’ll be sitting with the needle in you for a little bit too but it’ll be okay! I promise it will be so so worth it once it’s done. Once you have it in just focus on pushing the plunger all the way down and keeping the syringe steady. Once you’ve done this a couple of times it gets so much easier I promise. If you have any more questions feel free to ask! Good luck! :)
