Body Integrity Identity Disorder (BIID), or Body Integrity Dysphoria, is a rare psychological condition characterized by an intense, lifelong desire to become physically disabled (e.g., amputee, paraplegic) because of a belief that a specific body part does not belong. Symptoms include severe distress, acting as if disabled, and risks of self-harm, often stemming from a discrepancy between the brain’s body map and physical reality.

I’ve recently stumbled upon such disorder’s existance, and in some ways it seems similar to gender dysphoria. It supposedly cannot be cured by therapy nor anti depressants. The way it manifests is really similar to how GD does, so I’m curious if it stems from similar malfunctions in different regions of the brain on a biological basis.

I’ve also recently saw some online comments under a video about BIID, and the way that people reacted were similar to how transphobes or cissoids do. I feel like it gives a perspective on how cissoids might perceive us. Probably not literally in the same way, but coming from the same background of lack of understanding. They literally cannot understand what they didn’t experience, just like we can’t understand BIID in the way BIID people do.

Sorry if too off topic from trans issues, or too truscum, but I want some actual discussion here. Not a troll post.

Basically everyone would be objectively happier if they took heroin but that doesn’t mean we should give them it

Also even if srs didn’t make people objectively happier I’d still support it’s existence

No because heroin and drugs have drawbacks. Our bodies get used to them. If they didn’t, humanity would have already been plugged to it. But I also think that happiness may not necessarily be the only goal of morality. What about morality, which is based on the fact that someone is okay with something? Example, they’re okay being sad but also okay being happy.

Heroin gets you addicted, accustomed to it and gives you painful withdrawals. Cutting a limb off in a controlled manner will eliminate your extreme mental anguish, a dysphoria which leads people to doing it on their own. The drawbacks are only societal and in functioning as a human, but those individuals may be much more content with their life existence.

Ironic that it sounds like an exaggerated description of troon life. Remember, if you ever want to know how it feels for a cissoid to deny your transness, remember this moment and how you’ve felt towards BIID individuals. That is literally what cissoids are feeling but in a lesser extent.

Do you think not being able to hold a job or potentially even do basic tasks is only a “societal” drawback??? Do you ever wonder why the homeless are vastly more likely to be disabled? Do you ever wonder why they have a lower life expectancy? Lmao what

Hypothetically if heroin didn’t wear off would you be pro heroin use??

That is literally what cissoids are feeling but in a lesser extent.

TRANSITION ISNT THE SAME AS CHOPPING OF A LIMB AHHHHH, I feel like im losing my mind how do you not see thst those things aren’t the same thing? And the cissoids are wrong because transition literally causes no harm whatsoever? Like that’s literally why they’re wrong???

It doesn’t matter that it is not the same. Trust me, retarded cissoids can’t understand what we’re doing doing with our bodies just like you don’t understand BIID. Transness may be obvious to you. But just trust me that the feeling you’re feeling is the same as what cissoids feel towards us, amplified.

I literally understand biid, I understand that it causes them mental anguish, I just don’t think we should be giving people crippling disabilities which remove their ability to function as “treatment”. Cissoids are wrong because they don’t support transition due to it going against their ideological preconceptions, not because we should just do whatever to people’s bodies regardless of the harm actually. Cissoids understand what we’re doing to our bodies they just don’t like how it challenges preconceived notions they have about gender and the family

Cissoids may understand but they can’t feel it. Ideologies might be able to exploit such fact, and manipulate the views of people into being hostile towards it. Ideologies don’t come out of nowhere, someone had to have their own opinion first, usually when you don’t understand something it seems weird to you. That is a natural reaction for many people, and without acceptance in society I’ll be exploited into hostility.

I don’t find BIID weird myself. I was able to conceptualize it by projecting my trans experience onto it. If my dysphoria was caused by BIID and not gender dysphoria, I’d have probably wanted to undergo such mutilation, just like I want to take HRT. I would not care about being disabled, because just like my only wish and priority rn is to be a girl, the same would be to lose a leg.

Ideologies don’t come out of nowhere

correct! theyre biproducts of the mode of production and the social relations present in any given society. cissoids think the things they do due to their attitudes towards the bourgeois family and gender

I’d have probably wanted to undergo such mutilation, just like I want to take HRT

well yeah same, the difference is hrt doesnt cripple you. if i was like that and someone knowingly let me cripple myself id be annoyed in the same way I am towards people whove knowingly let me starve myself in the past
