afaik u usually need weights and such to progressively gain more muscle in the lower body but if i use weights then i’ll simultaneously get muscle gain in the arms such as the deltoid muscles and i don’t want that. i also wanna avoid building muscle on the side of my hips so i don’t get the man waist


I think that if you’re holding weights while doing squats it still is just working the glutes and not doing work for the upper body, at least that’s been my experience!
no yeah it will definitely mostly work lower body musculature your upper body wpuld still have to be active enough to hold the weights n such, no?
I mean it seems like it should work that way, I get so confused by the way bodies work. But when I looked up on youtube all the excercises to do with the hand weights, they’d all say to do this for glutes. I can’t say if they’re correct because I have poor discipline but it really seemed like they all knew what they were talking about and they didnt have big arms
