there is almost a reluctance that plagues so many transgender spaces where they are practically incapable of referring to themselves as their proper sex. stop reducing yourself and other binary transsexuals to being fem/masc instead of full women/men. do not patronize us or yourselves by calling us girls/boys when we are adults. stop making our language palatable to those who don’t and will never see us as our transitioned sex. and for the love of god, have enough self respect to not deny yourself of your transitioned sex. this language is why we have people arguing against bigots going “yeahhh, i’m a transgender man/woman, i know i will never be a REAL male/female” what the actual fuck are you doing? must we file down every rough corner of our beings in order to suck up to idiots who were never going to listen to us in the first place? whenever you say this, you always have a rebuttal like “uhmmm it’s just words” as if FtM/MtF and AGAB terminology are not only outdated and unnecessary but irreparably tied to birth sex? why pander to the notion that sex is wholly immutable in nature, the key tenant of all transphobes? why do you lug around what you used to be like a weight tied to your ankle? do you want to be free or do you want to keep appeasing others until you keel over and die? you tell certain transgender people you’ve effectively changed your sex medically and physically and they look at you like you have three heads for fuck’s sake. oh my god bruh.

I agree with all of this, but it’s always so hard to talk about it with other trans people with differing views. Because you’ll get some who are like “well my sex was always this one, I haven’t changed it” and then if I ask what the HRT was for and whether it’d be all the same if they’d never had it, suddenly I’m being hostile. And then there’s the ones who say “well what about trans people who don’t take HRT or change medically, that’s transmedicalism to say that they’re their birth sex”. And it’s like ok we could just not talk about it then, but it still would sort of be implied by me talking about how I changed mine. And they don’t like that either.

yes it’s such a fucking hassle. no one understands anyone, everyone is devoid of basic literacy and it’s evil hell all the time. respectfully though i’ve never met a person who wasn’t on HRT that didn’t fall for the “sex is immutable and cannot be changed whatsoever” psyop, normally the claim is that somehow by being on HRT and wanting to pass we are invalidating them of being their transitioned gender. which is stupid because a) fuck you, i wanna get roided and b) it just speaks to insecurity on their behalf, like they themselves don’t think they’re enough of their transitioned gender if they don’t transition medically so they have to shift the blame onto us to absolve themselves of this “guilt” despite the fact that we aren’t pressuring them to do anything. in fact, that’s how i used to think while i was still repping. i’ve played these games before, and it made me miserable. truly a testament to just take the meds imo but that’d prolly piss em off if i said that

Haha yeah that is the impression I get. Which makes it even more important to talk about how hormonal sex change is real! Hopefully everyone in there can keep being reached

Sometimes I call myself bad things when im upset… but when I am calm I always just think I am a woman… that is all… not transgender woman or transfem… any of those… am I transgender? Yes of course… but I am a woman before being transgender… in the same way I dont introduce myself as an autistic woman… or a hungry woman or whatever… I am a woman before those things…

very very true. i forgot to mention it in the original post but i’m also not fond of the sneaky “transwomen” shit people like to pull on other sites and more trans people need to not let that shit fly. a fair number of people have become scarily willing to let the diminishment and belittling of us as people occur and it really frightens me that certain medically transitioning transgender people can’t acknowledge that they are also transsexual.
