Comment your chosen name and let others rate it on scale from 0 - for name so cis that no tranny could have possibly picked it; to 10 - for most tranny name imaginable. Can be your second choice name you left behind. Can add country or ethnicity for context.

For western European it would be 3 or 4/10. Sounds nice.

I love Lynch’s Lost Highway and Renée makes me think only of this film. Unusual and lovely, but I’ve never before heard about trans woman picking it, so 3/10

        thank you <3

it started as a “wrong” keychain nametag so my best friend could have an excuse to call me a girl name while still being able to play it off as a joke to protect my boymode, and i just fell in love with it

I will watch Lynch’s Lost Highway!

Definitely not too crazy, when I hear it I think of regular midwestern/eastern US woman, just a little bit rare and much better than its counterpart Alice - at worst 5/10.

Where I live it’s regular cis girl name so I’m biased, but 3/10

Data too unhelpful… Need to try better.

Yeah, androgynous names are automatically on the higher end of the scale.

im between ashley and just my regular birth name ashton at the moment, ashton is technically gender neutral but lets be real no one’s ever met a girl named ashton lmao so i’d probably prefer ashley idk

Gender neutral names instantly make me wonder if the person is trans. Ashley is really nice, although it sounds more Millenial. I would give 8/10 to Ashton (would make me think you’re theyfab) and 5/10 to Ashley (since it can really go both ways) - I’d personally have chosen it if I was American/English.

Yeah, it is. Top 10 for the birth year is always the best stealthy choice.

Mine was barely top 150… with less than 50 girls

It depends on context. It sounds sweet, would be between 4 and 6/10 in romance speaking/southern Europe. Clockiness depends on whether it’s believable that your parents would name you like this based on your ethnicity.

You can’t go wrong with top 10. Nice and completely unclockable name - 1/10

I think it’s on the same level as my name - very nice sounding, popular maybe eighty years ago, now unusual but at least not that popular among trannies…

      Maybe 6 or 7/10

my name to everyone irl is dirk. name stolen from my (jamaican) great uncle or something. but also its the name of a homestuck character which pisses me off. also i use jasper online in some places. was the name my mom (also jamaican) wouldve given me if i was born a guy. its a cute name but also it sounds kinda like a cat name lowkey

Both are names literally approved by your family, so even despite homestuck reference I can’t give more than 4/10 to both of them, it would be 7/10 if not for the family

Jonathan was my second-choice name. (Early 20s white American) Honestly, I think Nathan fits me better than my real name, but there’s some painful associations for my mom. My real name was more popular in my birth year and is similarly classic.

Jonathan would be 5/10, Nathan 6/10. I know theyfab named like the latter, but since you’re American and they are not I can’t judge it harshly.

I think the clockiest names are those that don’t fit your age and ethnicity.

Yeah, for American these are okay, but European with either of those is either troon or had parents who fell for trend of giving American names to kids back in the 2000’s

Makes sense. I’ve known 2 white trans women with Japanese names. (Yes, they were insufferable)
