Jesus fucking Christ. I was at a gig last night, honmoding etc, all good in that regard. Not being treated strangely or anything. I ended up talking to a really cool woman who shared my interests over weird ass obscure music we had this autistic bonding moment and talked about crust punk, free jazz grindcore and gorenoise and whatever.
At some point she casually mentions being trans. I almost choked on my cig, for fuck’s sake. I am pretty damn good at clocking people because I’m so bonepilled but this time I had no fucking idea. She was only a few years younger than me too, although I didn’t ask when she had started HRT, must have been years ago.
Mogs me. Very badly mogs me. Oh, well. She’s cool af and we exchanged numbers. Maybe I made a new friend.
And yes, such musical interests are probably less common among cis women, but I’ve known a few who enjoy shit like that.

That’s a possibility. It’s hard to tell because Finnish is a very non-gendered language so there are no clues to pick up from that.

Many such cases. I’ve become brainwormed enough that I wonder about every woman I see at black metal shows, even though the odds of any of them being trans are super low (and the few that I’ve seen where I’ve been sure were hons)
From my experience at least around here, there are barely any trans women at black metal shows because the scene is full of nazis. I’ve stopped going too, unless it’s a leftist venue. Punk shows on the other hand, yeah, plenty of trans people around.
Oh yeah, it’s the same around here too, but I usually only go to underground or leftist spaces anyway. I avoid going to sketchy venues or gigs of sketchy bands because I just can’t be bothered to deal with nazis.
