We already know Amazon and whatnot spy on us with things like Amazon Alexa (if you bought one you’re stupid), but I’m 100% convinced that privacy is impossible if you’re around something that connects to WiFi and has a camera or speaker.

Like have you heard of the kinda stuff the CIA and other parts of the US government did during the cold war? Now imagine what they could do with the full force of modern tech.

I don’t mean to fear monger, this is just the kinda stuff I’m thinking about rn, most things would have to be “ignored” or not recorded as a data entry by the algorithm just for practical reasons.

Anonymity doesn’t exist online, if you want community away from the prying eyes of Uncle Sam, or Putin, or the UK, or Mossad, or whoever else, then you need to meet people IRL.

This is also why retro-tech is better than modern stuff, because there’s less avenues for you to be spied on.

The greatest minds and the greatest psychologist have spent decades working on how to spy on you without you thinking about and to figure out how to make you not think at all. It’s why I believe things like ChatGPT are a psyop, a partial reason as to why everything is going online only, digital touchscreens and stuff (the rest of the reasons is corporations are greedy). You are not immune to propaganda, but you can take mental medication against it, read books, go outside, and never stop learning.

Have you talked to these people? Ask them if they think there should be limits to things like Free Speech, they will say Yes and for there to be limits, you need to be surveiling all speech

If you do not regularly enforce a law, is it really a law? Or just something to use against someone you dislike if you are in a position of power?

Look at how many murders are unsolved in 1970 as compared to now, and look how many get solved by the state having a surveillance state, so fucking many get solved by cameras, so I’d actually wager that practically yes, in a big society, you do need a surveillance state or murder is only a crime for dumbasses (and yes, having eye witnesses act as secret informants is a surveillance state)

We live in a society where everyone deserves freedom and security but in practice, basically everyone gets neither

What’s the huge difference if the government can access any of those gas station cameras at any time?
