You already said there’s someone important to you, the depth that time adds to relationships is pretty incredible. It’s true though, there is no guarantee. You could go through shit that makes you miss this current time. But I would still say the continued opportunity to participate in the lives of others. There is a long amount of blank space in the canvas of your life, and much of it will be smeared with shit. But there will be good things too. And that will be better than it left blank.
