April 8, 2025… The day that, after 4 years on the waiting list, I received my first dose of HRT.
I wanted to do something special, any suggestions?

hm i was about to tell you to go do this sky lantern thing where you send off like paper air balloons into the sea or ocean and they go off and they signify luck, but i read that its illegal in brazil so idk
When I was a child I loved those lanterns so much, we call it “balão”, I had a literal themed birthday party with them. It was really nice, a good memory.

yeah i loved them too it was always so charming when there was so many of them. just flying all at once into the sea with the evening light
im happy for you. im sorry youve had to face so much. the fact that you can be as positive as you are despite it all is inspiring.
sadly im not good at planning celebrations and stuff really. i hope whatever you choose to do is fun though. even if its something small and personal

Yeah, my problem was poverty, which prevented me from getting HRT, so I had to wait for the government to give it to me.
So, kind of when I started taking it, I’d already been in trans spaces for quite a while.
