Even If I abandon my family succesfully… what then? I will be left all alone, on my own. for what? to transition? and what comes after that? your usual shit, a job… career maybe. sex. having fun, and then you are on your deathbed. In the grand scheme of things, it really has no significance. a life like an NPC. without a greater goal, without reason.

I can believe in some sort of half assed individualist philosophical belief I made up. but that does not suffice, why would something I made up be greater than Islam for example? it exists for centuries, more than a billion people believe in it, it has a rich history, and it will not fade into obscurity like not in the coming centuries literally. And honestly muslims are usually much less depressed than western atheists, in my anecdotal experience. they do not fear death, they do not fear anything material. Even in the worst moments… they pray to God, there is like an assurance of some sort, that everything will be alright in the afterlife. like I keep worrying whether I will pass or not… going exceeding lengths in cutting away my family, just to look like a girl… is it really that deep? We will all just die anyway. people just fall into a hole when they abandon god it seems, like something is missing. A hole they try to fill up, but it never really fits right. Like me Tbh. I dont think i will feel fulfilled in any way really… life just seems very pointless.

having something steadfast, something that doesn’t go away like a God, is pretty important I think. I think we are just designed this way, or maybe it is all fake. religion may just be a coping mechanism made to cope about how shit the world is, and that it will be all better in the after life actually. idk just my shower thoughts. I should reconnect with my Salafist Wahhabi friend again.

Sorry I suck at writing.

i mean, ultimately its a personal decision. if it helps you cope, it helps you cope. marx called religion the opiate of the people for a reason, and it wasnt to diss religion

I had his thoughts about religion in mind when writing the last sentences. It makes sense though. you just wanna cling onto something in a shitty existence.

So i think religion is important and this is good Nona but you should not try to go to a conservative sect. I tried converting to mormonism and while I pass it can drain you a bit being with people who can never accept what you are, especially if trans people come up as a topic you will hear hurtful things.

muslims are depressed and most of them are larping and don’t actually care about the religion. people fall into holes with or without God. the main guy married a child

Eh… i mean fair. Most people do not take it to the seriousness it is supposed to be taken to, but still it’s an integral part of many countries’ cultures and people grow up with it (me included) but tbh I never really took it seriously. i had an Islamist larp phase when i was younger but thats it.

well idk. I dont wanna rawdog life though… just feels like a pointless existence. even if i have all the love, all the things i want, the body i want. whatever.

Nona become a Buddhist. More like a philosophy to be honest, but I think it’d be the best for positive mental effects. Also it is more ethical.

I don’t know much about Buddhism, but I don’t think it’s the peaceful religion it is portrayed as though.

, why would something I made up be greater than Islam for example?

why wouldn’t something you made up be greater than islam? is it because its made up by you? why is islam greater then you? i don’t buy that. sounds like bullshit. NOTHING is greater then you. ALSO ALSO WHATS WRONG WITH MAKING SHIT UP???

“Oooohhh nooo look at me i can’t make up shit on my own i need someone else to do it for me my soy fetch me my fucking soy” CRINGE!!!1111111 make up shit!!! homebrewed beliefs will always mog other ppls beliefs in the same way food you grow yourself or stuff you cook yourself will always taste better then stuff from a store.

why wouldn’t something you made up be greater than islam?

because a personal spiritual individualist belief made up by one person in the western world who comes from an atheist background to ultimately cope with the innate emptiness of life is not the same as another made up grand movement of a religion that is being believed by a billion people with hundreds of years of history, studies, culture, achievements and so on to it’s name.

I fundamentally disagree with this mindset

I just see one having more legitimacy to it’s name than the other one, due to the aforementioned reasons
