Not ace but I get this. From the angle of economics and needing real community I often feel like polyfags could have some good things going for them if you remove the unnecessary degeneracy. It feels like a lot of emotional needs that can only be provided thru real in-person community get serviced in cules because people often have to add a sexual element as a pretense to go out of their way to physically be in the presence of other people in the internet age. So relationships that’d probably be better off staying non-sexual get sexualized just to justify a general human need to co-habitate and emotionally/physically/financially support eachother. There’s legit merits to the lifestyle, but a bunch of people getting sexually involved with eachother in such a capacity usually ends in an unhinged way.
