probably controversial here, but i dont think u 100% need dysphoria 2 be trans, ofc if u put no effort in and complain that u dont get gendered correctly I think ur kinda silly. But at the same time in a perfect society we would just ask 4 eachothers pronouns regardless if u were cis or not, It feels humiliating tk be asked 4 ur pronouns rn but if this was normalised it would just be a normal thing. I also feel like enbys r apart of the trans umbrella (yes even “theyfabs”) they r still ostracised by society, sure alot of ppl just view them as quirky women but they r still treated lesser than cis people and infantalised (yes ik some r evil, but there r some horrific “normal” trans people too, generalising a whole group isnt helping anyone) ik yall wont agree bc im a cringe annoying “tenderqueer” that ahould be kicked out of tttt spaces for “gentrifying” it or wtv

In my opinion if you transition and you go through your life as the gender you transitioned to, you’re trans even if the transition wasn’t motivated by dysphoria. And also if you have dysphoria in my opinion you are trans even if you haven’t transitioned. But if we’re talking about people who don’t have dysphoria or have very little dysphoria, and haven’t transitioned despite having the opportunity, then I fail to see what about them is trans. I know some “theyfabs” that are really lovely people and who genuinely do experience dysphoria, and I don’t have a problem with calling them trans even if they don’t face all the same challenges binary trans people do.
If someone force detransitioned such a person they would almost certainly be in distress over this. They have incongruence at their core. Some degree of dysphoria was always part of their motivation even if they didn’t call it by that name.
Yeah I guess I kind of agree, I have a hard time placing myself in the shoes of someone who doesn’t have dysphoria who transitions anyway. But I’ve heard that some people dissociate from their dysphoria, and then there’s is the whole “gender euphoria” thing. My point was mostly if they medically transition and face transphobia, if they walk like a duck and talk like a duck… But yes I think both of these people would probably feel a lot of distress if forced to detransition, which would probably be gender dysphoria.
Gender euphoria is literally just the experience one feels when gender dysphoria ends. You can’t have one without the other. People who are euphoria only trannies were unaware that what they had before was dysphoria possibly like you said from dissociation.
