    From what I’ve seen (online and with friends) the general consensus is that while results aren’t as fast and it isn’t as potent as laser, it’s cheaper and easier to do.

    Absolutely do not cheap out on a shitty IPL because if used wrong they can absolutely will destroy your skin. Make sure to use a lot of sunscreen and lotion as well.

    AFAIK the basic routine for an IPL day is:

    Shower with hot water -> exfoliate using a body scrub or exfoliating brush -> shave -> use IPL -> moisturizer and sunscreen

    If you use an epilator, don’t (at least until the hair follicle grows back). IPL or laser won’t work if there isn’t a hair follicle for it to target.

    Braun seems to make the best value IPLs but that’s just what I’ve seen online.

    The price range you should aim for if you buy one is ~350$ - $550. If you can afford laser you should definitely go with that instead, the results are faster and better even if it is more expensive. Make sure they use an Alexandrite laser if you do go with that.
