    My favorite suggestion for getting better is to aim to do one thing every day for yourself. It can be something as small as taking a dish to the sink that you wouldn’t have done before asking “what’s the one thing I can do for today”. Maybe it’s something as simple as making a sandwich and looking at it and cutting it in half, like if you think “it’d be nice to do that for myself” when you’re making your sandwich. It might feel silly to get excited thinking about whether you’d like it cut diagonal to make triangle slices or regular to make rectangle slices. But it’s nice to consider what you’d prefer.

    I think if you keep this up, it can really help. And eventually maybe it gets to a point where you’re like, “I’ve done so much for myself, I can’t actually think of something to do for myself today”, you can give yourself permission to give yourself the day off and it can become a thing you don’t need to do every day
