i wont say ive never had this thought before but its pretty stupid. women that dont marry and have “no ambition” (not a conventional university-degree job, ie. lawyer, doctor) are seen terribly by society as well. and if u marry and dedicate to being the housewife that is sacrificing a lot of urself for ur family, and it isn’t easy by any means. unless u get really lucky in who u marry possibly. still, high status men demand a lot from their trophy wives, even if it doesn’t involve typical ‘work’.
