imhto there are people who are queer in a normal way and queer in an internet fandom way and microlabels like pansexual and demisexual whatnot fall into the internet fandom category.

sometimes, the adults are children and the children are adults
Mean… I like demisexual because it helps me cope with dysphoria about not being able to f*** safely… probably will update to pansexual after surgery… bi just doesn’t feel right for some reason… idk, the flag or the identity feels off… I’m often a very physical person, and I’m very attracted to actions and not body types

I think a lot of this happens bc young ppl (like middle and high schoolers) are closeted and their only way of being queer is on the internet, and therefore their perspective on being queer is heavily influenced by how they were already acting online/others online, which for a lot of ppl is fandom behavior and stuff. And then it disseminates from there.

I lived with a theymab friend who self described as “demi greysexual” or something… like… not liking hookups isn’t notable waowwieee
yeau, yeau…
IMO demisexuals are a real thing while pansexuals and bisexuals are basically the same thing?
