it lacks the nuance that bdd passoid had. the amount of people who are knowingly, and willingly “larping” and not just severely mentally ill and unable to see themselves clearly in the mirror is rather low id think. the most catty people arent gonna larp around niche tranny spaces for attention, theyre on tiktok and shit.
i get that sometimes its hard to believe people arent faking it for attention, but someone can say that they feel ugly and mean it even while theyre fishing for attention. i know ive done that before. made a post with an attention baiting title, knowing its attention baiting, but legitimately believing it and desperately just wanting someone to tell me im wrong. now, that never happens for me really, i just get sad faces and hug emojis but thats besides the point.
tldr: honlarper is stupid term that lacks empathy and likely applies to almost no one

I think a lot more of them are telling the truth about it than you might think. Like they might be able to take a good photo but then when they fully exist in 3 dimensional space with the passage of time and motion all included, things go a little different.
Yes, I get it. I used to put more importance on photos in the past, but I changed my view about a month ago. I meant specifically the ones who don’t get misgendered or straight up malefail or pass often, while still calling themselves hons.
Oh yeah I think in those cases their reason for doing it is that they work for the cia and they were sent here to kill us
