No matter what anybody ever says is the reason, always realize that they’re probably leaving out one of the most important things:

Jobs are impossible to find, after YEARS of trying I landed one at Target last summer seasonally and got offered full time because I was genuinely good at it.

But because jobs are so unmanageable even when you get them (especially if you have trouble passing), it was like impossible for me to stay there longer than I was initially intended because my OCD often makes leaving the house impossible. So I had to leave a few times early which they were fine with, but I’d prefer just not having panic attacks at work at all thank you. They put me on demand where I’d only come in once a month for a number of months after October, but I ended up just quitting for good recently bc i didn’t feel like going in for February.

The “uniform” I wore was essentially back to boymoding too, so I imagine if my nametag didn’t automatically have a girl name on it with pronouns I’d probably have been he/himed more than just the once i was, which is painful bc I passed for a long time before that and always girlmoded.

Its real bad I got lucky and got promoted at mine and id love to leave but insurance is too good for troon surgeries

if your state has some type of civil service system where you need to apply for tests for certain positions in state/city government that’s a very good way to land a job, that’s how i finally got the new job i start in 2 months
