I’ve done a very good job of mostly never looking back… when I first migrated here I spent like a good 90 days not even opening Reddit… now I check back in every now and again, and it’s like, wtf… like 4t4 was admittedly quite bad in a number of ways when I left and, and even before then… but I do not remember it quite being whatever the fuck it is rn… nice to know I’m not just being a rose-tinted glasses mfer when I think this stuff. Tranistan can be really retarded, but it’s like… the most tolerable internet, as far as I’m concerned…

Idk. I made a post about this but I think one of the reasons I mostly enjoy it here is that it just reminds me of how smaller internet forums used to exist, back before everyone got shoved into a small amount of massive websites.
Absolutely agreed on that front… Reddit 4t4 making it big was honestly the absolute death of it’s quality… I mean, using terms like hon and passoid doesn’t unredditify it at the end of the day, people get cyphoned into there from the same big internet algorithmic ecosystem, and then adopt groupthink-approved identities from there… things lost their organicness and authenticity a while ago and it’s been in an absolute spiral since, and it was only inevitable, really.
Regardless, I feel a lot less neurotic on here, things are certainly more intimate… not for the hardcore sortfags who need a constant stream of tranner/channer-themed content to lull them into a stupor, but there’s something special here that’s previously been lost elsewhere, something that I’ve struggled to articulate the lose of properly until rather recently.
