I kinda am thinking of staying over for 3 days and they’ll medicate me with xanax or something at nights so i go to sleep at the required time. Will it fix me? Or at least make things better? Whatdya reckon?

i had an involuntary stay at a psych ward and it was one of the most traumatic experiences of my life. they are to be avoided at all costs
Aghh I’m so sorry…🫂🫂🫂 Can i ask what happened?
I was 10 years old and in mourning. CPS didn’t understand me and sent me to a psych ward. The psych ward didn’t understand me and gave me false diagnosis, drugged me, allowed other patients to beat me and violate me. As an adult your experience would probably be different than mine, but generally i think antipsychiatry is the way to go.
… I am speechless. Fuck psychiatry … I do heavily dislike psychiatry services but hearing this really hits you in the face…
Largely just mind-numbingly boring. There was nothing to do at all, by the end of the stay I just slept every moment I could.
Edit: Idk if it would help you, I found it harder to feel rested in foreign environment.
Foreign environments can feel VERY icky to me, especially places like hospital…
Also, sometimes i think we should embrace boredom to reset the brain,s dopamine sensitivity though… is it worth it to do it in psych unit…
Maybe for 3 days it can be useful. But I was there for 23 days. And you can just do it for a day or two on weekends, if you want.
23 days 👀 whaaaattt that’s verry long
Psychiatrist decided how long you stayed in my psychward (but it had to be below a certain number of days in my department, idr what it was). Psychiatrist in my department kept everyone there for 3+ weeks. In severe department people stayed for months and years.
That’s crazy
