but seriously, we cant be calling the turkic and magyar migrations into anatolia and the pannonian basin “settler colonialism”. there was no metropole from which the turks and hungarians were settle on the behalf of. they were nomadic peoples who displaced and interbred with the previous inhabitants of the regions, all of who mind you also settled over the previous people who lived there before them. the greeks were not the original inhabitants of anatolia, what about the hittites? were the celtic peoples who migrated around europe, including to anatolia, also settler colonists?
