i get it. i dont have a ton of sympathy for shitty people either, but generally i prefer to not insult people for things out of their control. a woman might be “ugly” but that ugliness isnt why shes a bad person, so why make it the focus?

its the same shit when liberals like to joke around and say that putin and trump are gay or whatever. like why is it funny? i get its cause theyre homophobic so haha they would be mad at being seen as gay or whatever.

but to me it always just reads like these people would think calling them faggots would suddenly be okay if they were gay. theres other examples of liberals calling people trannies too as a thinly veiled insult towards shitbags and idk. i just think its all mean and stupid. im probably guilty of it myself though so idk why im whining like anyone cares

    I agree with u. i think it’s sort of a coping mechanism because “you’re ugly/gay/whatever and project your internalized hatered” sounds funnier and less terrifying than “damn this person finds my existence fundamentally wrong and disgusting and wants me to suffer and die”. but in practice first message is rarely true and even if it seems true, it’s probably just a selection bias or whatnot
