Given the fact that we’ve upgraded our stack quite substantially since starting out, we have decided to increase the pictrs server image caps to match this new situation:

New image upload limits:

• Max Image size: 5mb --> 20mb.
• Max gif size: 2mb --> 15mb.
• Max gif duration: 50 frames (less than 2 seconds) --> 400 frames (10-15 seconds)

Disclaimer: The image server sometimes issues a timeout when uploading .webp animations within the above mentioned restrictions. We’re currently investigating the issue. For now, stick to using the .gif format to upload animations to the server.
