this is such a shallow view of human behaviour kinda, genuinely such a large part of who you and how human society works are is purely nature. it doesnt make those things fake or not real or changeable on a whim

ok, but there is literally a direct cause and effect between my childhood and me having it, just because not everyone wouldnt have had it doesnt mean it wasnt caused by my environment?? like it pretty directly was

again, this is just how people work that doesnt mean it wasnt caused by my environement

if a person eats an apple for the first time and finds out they like apples, did eating the apple cause them to like apples? i suppose there’s no way to strictly prove they didn’t develop a taste for apples in that moment but it would seem pretty silly to say the event was the causation.

I mean unironically that is kinda how developing a taste for food works, thats why the term “aquired taste” exists because babies are born basically only wanting sugar but develop tastes for other things over time through exposure

Also literally trauma and mistreatment did cause my bpd thats just how personality disorders work what, it literally changes your brain chemistry because of the event. if i had a different childhood i wouldnt have it

in that case i think we just have differing views on causality and predisposition
