Well yeah obviously but I don’t think it’s a large proportion of straight people though that’s kinda mad

genuinely it is though from my experiences among cis people. it just gets passed off as “experimentation” or “confused hormones” or “practice relationships due to not being around the opposite sex” etc. again its so sunlimated that few of them act on it and may feel disgust even at the thought, but that is due to their total association between heterosexuality and the natural and order and such… this is exa tly the argument of adrienne rich in the comp het essay, im not saying some niche thing here…

Ok but “confusion” and “practice relationships” are literally not a common thing at all hello? The only people I’ve ever met who talk like thst and do those things are trans people and that couldn’t be true if it was a MAJORITY of cis people. Like that is an absurd claim

mthis is stuff my parent shave said to me to explain why gay people exist. the reason why you havent got this from cis people talking abt thenselves is because theyve never done any introspection of gender or sexuality in their life. this is like saying “everyone in the world wants to make money naturally, this is why communism would never work and capitalism is natural”

But if cis people don’t say this all the time you’re making a baseless claim about the majority of the population which goes in the face of all logic and how they behave lol

Also the desire to make money has considerably less of a biological element than sexuality does that’s a stupid comparison

im basibg this on my experiences though. like growing up in a all boys school a lottt of those guys who would claim to be straight or even be violently homophobic were often capable of intense homoeroticism where theyd call each other darling and husband or acts like jerking off together or looking at each other naked or practicing kissing etc. this was allowed because they didnt do it “sincerely” and because they didnt “act gay” and professed that their attraction to women was the only real one. adrienne rich of course argues for women from the opposite perspective. cis people cannot comprehend comphet like how fish cannot comprehend the ocean.

also the argument of sexuality being “biological”- is this even true? i mean gender isnt a clear absolute biologically or socially so why would sexuality be?

Ok but I’ve literally never seen anyone act like that in my entire life, if the majority of people ik are comphet how is that remotely possible

youve never seen people acting intensely homoerotic? friends being jealois of another friends partner? the homoeroticism of fascist aesthetic? the sublimation of homosexuality is almost an underpinning of cisheterosexuality, in the same way that the suppression of transsexuality is

Not really? The only example I can really think of was one girl from my hs but she’s also just a lesbian now
