Yes there’s no karma system here but I figure, in any situation where I even slightly enjoy someone’s input here, especially if I feel I have nothing else to add, it’s nice to at least let them know somebody had eyes on their stuff and enjoyed it. I can be a bit forgetful when it comes to these things but I like letting people know that they’ve had eyes on their stuff. I like providing signs of life. I like giving others assurance that they’re not just talking into a void.

Fr lmfao. I’m slowly coming to accept this is our destination. Likely far sooner than I expected it to be that way, but hey it’ll be something until it’s not

Yeah… not confident I’d be using the Reddits again if this place fell apart. Maybe as a lurker without an account, just to check in… but like actually posting? Commenting? I’m not so confident.

Similar thing with /lgbt/. I feel done actually contributing there… but like I still look. I only really feel comfortable here. Less total eyes on me is good for my neuroticism anyways. Maybe I should be getting more in the habit of giving people here my Signal or something in-case this all properly goes down-down, like the plug is pulled entirely.

i’ve always abstained from the voting system here and on reddit. it just feels too anti-social and weird to use in “social” spaces like the tttt subs. but then i worry that i’m committing a faux pas not upvoting someone, or if someone that i replied to gets downvoted i worry it will look like i downvoted them. i just wish this place was structured like a normal forum. idk maybe i should start smacking that updoot button so i don’t look like an unfriendly weirdo.
