Yeah. The “personality-core” of PD’s aren’t really ever supposed to be treatable. Otherwise they wouldn’t be PD’s.

“Treated BPD” just means you’re “no longer suffering from your symptoms”, or you’ve found good copes.

I actually have made a lot of progress in therapy and stuff, symptoms impede my quality of life a lot less… still very BPD tho. Self-awareness helps…

The ID of PDs as some kind of core of a person is disputed. That’s why the ICD11 doesn’t use them that way anymore.

Yeah it’s definitely disputed. I mean the whole designation of PD’s is for that matter. But it resonates, and if I’m going to pick a side on these things I’d say it’s pretty core. Especially in regards to borderliner stuff

Makes sense. Depends on the school of thought. I would just say don’t let it hinder you from seeing yourself as whole. Don’t think you’re inherently broken.

Fair, yeah. I see my condition as treatable but not curable y’know? And treatment is meaningful. Picking up the broken pieces of glass and superglueing that shit together is gonna yield better results than leaving myself bare to the elements. Gotta learn to work with what I got, and it’s an especially scuffed set-up, but that’s life :)
