just seems like a downgrade compared to injection monotherapy
even if you gave me “official” pharma hrt right now i wouldn’t take it. i’ll probably be diy-ing for the rest of my life unless they make undecylate injections available commercially, why the fuck would i take anything else?

is undecylate better for results or does it just have a better half life? I’m on een rn
it’s not any better when it comes to results as long as your levels are the same, it’s all estradiol. it’s just very convenient to only inject once a month, and this is completely in my head but it somehow feels more right to have a monthly hormonal cycle of sorts. it’s also more convenient in case you are in a situation where you can’t do injections often, like maybe you live with people you are closeted to or in a shelter. the downside is that it’s more expensive, and takes many months for your levels to stabilize so you can get blood tests and adjust your dose.
gotit tyvm i definitely see the appeal
they think its laced
dangerous OIL laced with ESTROGEN!!! ESTROGEN IS DANGEROUS FOR TRANS WOMEN!
ESTROGEN MAY CAUSE THROMEMBOLIK RISKS OHOO
DIY HRT IS VERY DANGEROUS AND HAS MANY RISKS, HON! *lists risks of oral pills*
I have no idea why someone wouldnt chose diy other than mental retardation if given the choice
anxiety and fearmongering usually. still regarded ofc
If i die taking e that’ even better lol
i said this to my parents once and they got mad at me lmao
I think people very naive and early on see it like that
people that dont value autonomy
also picrel mogs
i am endocuck for insurance reasons and cauas my endo listens to me, sorta
makes sense but I meant endos that prescribe patients like a dangerous amount of cypro and minimal amount on estrogen
Its literally cheaper I’d take DIY over prescribed any day
even if I have enough money I will stick to diy its so much more convenient
DIY should be a question and the answer always yes, DIY First, then you care about the system
my country offers pills as informed consent treatment but i didn’t wanna take an AA or take too many pills (monotherapy levels of EV in pills increases blood clotting risk) so i kinda took matters in my own hands
