New bill here in India is gonna be considered (in the lok sabha) next week. Reduces the definition of transgender to only people born in certain socio-economic groups and intersex people. Means if you’re not part of those groups and transgender you won’t be recognized as such; it also completely obliterates nonbinary people and trans men.

Completely removes someone’s right to not be hatecrimed or discriminated against, prevents them from changing their legal gender, and makes getting HRT or surgery harder (I’m not sure if it’s impossible yet)

It’s literally called the fucking transgender persons (protection of rights) amendment bill and if that isn’t the most ironic thing on earth.

It was bad already, all trannies were already legally defined as a “3rd gender”, but this shit is insane. Idk why these fucking assholes complain of ‘brain drain’ when they do shit like this, I can’t wait to leave this place.
