One bit of advice I’ve heard is to not focus so much on memorizing the card meanings, but to look at and interpret the card art instead. Art varies from deck to deck, and they can change around meanings a bit, so what does X specific card in Y specific deck invoke to you? Or, in your case, how would you visually represent X concept that is usually associated with Y card?
this is a valid way to do tarot for beginners for sure but i would say you should work on understanding the hermetic tradition more broadly, especially as it relates to tarot. understanding the elements and numerology will basically enable you to read any of the minor arcana without memorising card meanings. traditionally the major arcana had much more emphasis on their pictograms (this is why even the tarot de marseille has pictograms on the major arcana) but learning the underlying traditions will allow you to gain much more deep meaning from the pictograms than simply looking at them with an untrained eye
