There are so many other things that you have plenty of time to figure out, and people in their early teens are really rarely expected to make big life altering decisions about things, but with this one specific condition if you don’t figure things out, get lucky with your country/parents and advocate for yourself while you’re still a child, you’ll have to live with the negative downstream consequences of that for the rest of your life. All you want is just to be what half of the world’s population is naturally, which doesn’t seem like too much to ask, so it’s just all very unfair.

Sometimes you pause to think about it and it really dawns on you how ass it is to be trans

Then “supportive” cisoids parrot bullshit about not needing hrt to be trans. We lost the plot when being trans became an identity. I’d wager that the reason people who got hrt young only got it because their parents thought of it as a sex disorder.

I suspect that was true that’s how my mom thought of it and when she found out I was diying as a kid instead of screaming it was she got me help through official channels. That didn’t stop the lecturing over how dangerous diying was from everyone in my life though.

It’s horrifying because puberty is getting earlier, too. It’s so sinister that the push to restrict puberty blockers is happening right when the average age for both types of puberty is starting a year+ earlier than it used to. How the hell is an 8, 9, or 10 year old supposed to understand what’s going on, or what options they have, or diy, or be seriously believed if they manage to find the words they’re looking for?
