there’s only one other trans woman on campus. i have her for my last class of the day and i sit alone in the row in front of her since my old friend group bullied me after they found out i’m trans. i think she knows? she had randomly sat next to me out of nowhere but we’re both silent, i had tried to make short conversation about our energy drinks and now every class i buy that same one she likes (in hopes she notices). during our exam she sat next to me again, and has whispered something as i left but like an idiot i just said yeah since i couldn’t make out what she said. also like an idiot i waited outside for her to finish so i can show her the train sim i was playing on my DS (and talked to her teammate in the meantime) but she was tired and didn’t want to play it and headed out.
i just want to be friends with her so bad, we really are the only ones here and we’re both about to graduate from college so i may never see her again. it sounds stupid i know, but i cried abt it before like we’re on break for a week and it’s still eating me up inside. how do i connect with her or do you think it’s not worth it? last semester she had female pronouns/name on her school account but switched it back so idk what her situation is, like i’m scared to ask and make her uncomfortable. but i feel like she knows i’m a boymoder and vice versa, i just want to be there for her if she wants it, as support and as a friend

Trans people in not-ultralib places are usually incredibly lonely and desperate for friends, I personally would find wearing your heart on your sleeve and asking genuinely to be endearing. Chances are she’s lonely too or at the very least knows what its like for your approach to not seem creepy.
If you really feel like hiding that part and not being vulnerable you could always leave out the “i really wanna be friends and dont wanna miss out on meeting you” (which again, i personally would find incredibly sweet) and just invite her to have coffee or something and then there you can ask her what shes into and maybe you match somewhere
