What I mean by this is the ability to just be and let life wash over u. U ever been on a traveling trip, maybe a train, or a car or a plane, maybe even cycling or walking.

And u slip into that reflective state where the u disappears and bleeds away and u get a sense of the infinite that is bigger than u and incomprehensible, always.

U think of all the billions, the horrors and joys, the pain and relief, the life and death. All these ppl going about their lives, and then to be forgotten and go back to the earth.

And u too will do the same one day.

But as u grow older, the myelin sheath in Ur brain starts to dry out, u lose this perspective, and the pain of life can also easily destroy it.

It’s not a platitude or an appreciation, it just is.

When u can’t get to that state any more, that’s the other form of death. That’s when u become a husk and utterly annihilate urself.

I dunno the best methods for maintaining it, but some use drugs, and meditation, diet and exercise etc.

I wish I was smart enough to know the right answer, but there probably isn’t one.

Just know that one day u will go back to the earth, and the broader universe, everything that is u is made up of the same basic elements as a star.

Try to think of it not as ending, but going home.

I hope to be home soon.

    Ego dissolution?

I like to stargaze whenever I start to lose a sense of self. It let’s me remember that I am not merely of my own, but rather, something that is a part of a greater whole. It’s very grounding :)
