The one real life person I’ve told it to called me by it the other day and it just. Felt like psychic damage, like a deep wound got slashed open. Instantly closed the app and could not bring myself to look at it again. i thought they forgot (and hoped they would tbhon)
initially thought maybe this means i should change my name, but i know the reason why this felt bad:
It’s because im a giant hairy beast and they know. The sheer discordance between the feminine name i chose and how i actually look could devastate entire nations. I know they meant well but oh my fucking god. never again please. please.

Right… most of the times I hear it even online, where people don’t know what I look like, it feels like I’m not worthy to be called it. But the thought of hearing it in real life is a whole new level of revolting :(
