I see a post about a girl whos a minor and she’s willing to out to her conservative mom, I said she’s dumb and shouldnt and I receive a lot of downvotes, when I tried to explain why this would Ruin her life and would simply make her mom worst I keep get downvoted, like this is basic survival skulls, you shouldnt out yourself if you know the place isnt good for that
tbh wether or not someone is supportive of their kid being trans has surprisingly little to do with politics
a lot of conservatives parents make a weird cognitive exception for “their own” and will be supportive and alot of liberals will be fine with the concept of trans people but can’t handle having one as a kid
I think how good your relationship is with them and how they would/have reacted to similar life events probably matters a lot more in terms of predicting a reaction
