like, literally how do i decide between medicine and physics? they’re both so fucking cool… studying astrophysics or computational physics seems super fun, and the university i’m going to has good programs for both, but so does shit like plastic surgery and neurology… i wish i could do a double major and become highly specialized in nuclear medicine or radiation oncology or something. i also keep flip-flopping between wanting to focus on natural science and social science. like, for a couple of weeks, i’ll want to study physics or chemistry or whatever, but then suddenly i’ll change my mind and want to study literature, sociocultural anthropology, philosophy, or something similar 🫠

studying math does sound fun… though, i’m most likely going to med school in january… lowkey, maybe i need to self-study math and do some cool shit like computational neuroscience.
self-studying math on the side and focusing on a useful degree is lowk the way to go. enjoy ur med school breastie!!!
yeau. a big reason why i ended up applying to med school was that the research opportunities are much better for medicine than math and physics… at least in my country, math and physics tend to lead into oil and gas extraction that’ll kill the planet or designing autonomous missiles that’ll kill children in Gaza… and i’d rather not end up in a situation where the only employer interested in my skills is a defense contractor 😭
