call me insane but I listen to classical and enjoy it and some of it is actually really good
also I like power metal and sometimes death metal
jazz fusion, pop, black metal, folk, ambient are my top 5
what folk do you like?
mostly local artists to where i live, idk what subgenres that would be… i think dark folk?
probably, a lot of modern folk is desu
hip-hop in any form. Jazz and Blues. I like classical music for study and work.
who’s your top 5 in hip-hop?
that’s a hard question. All time? Rakim Lauryn hill Missy elliot D’Angelo Kendrick Lamar. These are probably just the most important figures of all time. I also really like their work.
Actually diabolical top 5, D’Angelo ain’t even hip-hop, Missy Elliot isn’t bad but top 5??? Kendrick Lamar also doesn’t belong in a top 5, and Lauryn Hill ain’t even got a discography like that
The two most reasonable here are Kendrick and Rakim, never thought I’d be saying that, if you like lyrical rap then go and listen to MF DOOM, he’s fucking great
white woman has been here how do you know? MF DOOM. everytime. These people literally built the genre or were massively influential and are the reasons your favs favs exist btw.
Yeah, they’re not my favorites or the best of all time or anything in some cases, but their influence is genre defining
who are your favourites then?
MF DOOM is glazed and constantly talked about for a reason
my top 5 is always very similar
MF DOOM, Andre 3K, Eazy-E, Prodigy, and Krayzie Bone
You can’t really say anyone but Rakim influenced these people lol
I mean you can thank hip-hop being a global phenomenon for someone on my list pretty much. (MF DOOM is so over glazed it’s scary, and I own his vinyls.)
Kanye (it’s ye.) Chief keef Lauryn hill Nas bottom is probably tupac
MF DOOM is so under glazed, they basically spit on his name daily
Kanye makes great music but anytime I hear about him, it makes me sad because like I’m Bipolar and so is my mom so I can relate to him in that way but I’m Jewish so like, he’s talking about me
Chief Keef is INSANEEEEEEEE, I’m not even sure if he top 300
Lauryn Hill is fair enough, she had a good solo album and the Fugees were alright
Nas is very respectable
Tupac is overrated, Biggie was unironically better
black metal, freak folk, post-industrial
I genuinely listen to any and everything but those are king
Been listening to a lot of J-pop and Vocaloid recently lol, anyone else?

different kinds of punk, some similar stuff occasionally
Classical is good.
I personally prefer a lot of proggy/experimental stuff, mostly punk or even metal. I do however like kpop quite a bit (I think it’s the jazz influence).
Classical music can be very good, Beethoven and Chopin are based.
I like jazz fusion, prog rock, pop, rock from the 70s and 80s, electronic music and rap from the 80s and 90s.
oh yeah I love chopin and I have been getting into baroque music too lately
