ik they’re both ssris but im wondering why both my therapist and psych mentioned prozac specifically

    is there a lot of side effects? wdym by rougher and are they not both for depression/anxiety?

      Escitalopram is nice for anxious depression, fluoxetine is the oldest ssri and works for most types of depressions

      Both have side effects, its easier to stop prozac than lexapro tho (unless im wrong…)

          No, but to know if it might help you can do Becker/Hamiltons test (online, are used in medical diagnosis). Antidepressants are effective for severe depression and escitalopram is better than placebo for mild depression.

          The first weeks will be hard (4-6) but then it might start working. You should also check the side effects of ssris

      prozac is rougher at the start bc it takes a longer time to build up in your body

        prozac can cause fever, rash, and a few other things in addition to all the lexapro side effects when you start it

        this list is like the same except for bulimia and bipolar and i don’t have either
