i think it started with my first stay at the hospital, because they did some blood tests, and the old russian shrink there said it was “causing biological chaos” in my body. then, i was transferred to the ward, where i was diagnosed with bipolar disorder with rapid cycling after a few days because i went from trying to starve myself to death to being visibly happy in just a single day, and then the russian shrink from before (who, btw, had nothing to do with my care anymore) lwky quote retweeted (recharted?) the diagnosis in my medical history and wrote that my estrogen levels could explain it all somehow… and i think with that, the first seed was planted. then, now that it’s been getting more and more obvious that i’m not just depressed, they’ve started looking for alternative explanations and somehow landed on it all being caused by estrogen 😭
