lwky, life would be completely pointless without art, so, imo, art is maybe the single greatest calling one can have… like, art transcends the immediate and mundane: it’s Divinity made material…
art is mostly being stupid and doing random stuff, 5% of artists have a brain actually
most of Munch’s art was also him just fucking around and drawing what he could see from his window. i think that’s just how art is made, tbh…
Yes, like most artists since the 19th till mid 20th. Idk, yes its beautiful and provokes emotions etc but i cant put this on the same level as working in healthcare etc.
Also its not really related but nowadays artists are becoming microinfluencers, half of them dont have any culture about art and its history and have nothing to say. Theyre boring asf. From all the artists ik only a few create interesting and intelligent stuff.
yea, that’s true. imo, art, being a form of communication, requires intention. and the boring artists you mention are kinda just like AI “art,” in the sense that the things they produce lack intentionality.
Bc theyre petit bourgeois and produce for the bourgeois. Their class cant produce anything, only integrate the codes from bourgeoisie and lower classes to create boring and insipid art.
