i don’t think it’s good for security to have the website openly facing the wider internet, and the ability to create an account without at least one person vouching for you. i know it harms the size of the userbase, but i’m pretty sure that most people who would want to join have at least one tie to here via 4tran4 or 4tranistan on reddit
