She wants to believe I’ll save her from all the struggles of the world, not considering how much it would damage her ability to live if we ever parted ways nor how much strain it would put on our relationship, thus increasing the likelihood that we would have to part ways

I want to believe she’ll listen and accept that I cannot save her from everything and that she’ll undertake the burden of the world knowing that it’s lightened because I’m there to support her, and knowing the future possibility of a cozy domestic life for the both of us

When all is said and done, I believe we’ll both survive and I hope that I’ll have been able to truly help her, whatever the resolution ends up being
