At least I don’t. Dr. Asperger would’ve put me on the trains even if I wasn’t a tranny tbfr.

aspergers isnt real, its an outdated and ignorant term. it was created by a nazi to separate the ‘good functional’ autie children from the ‘useless poor nonfunctional’ autie children. low-support, medium-support, and high-support autistics do not need to be divided into how useful we are to society. its ableist to do so. the label gives ‘aspies’ an avenue to feel superior and look down their nose at other autistic people who need more support to live. thats all i wanna say. (gets down off my soapbox.)

Trve trve… do I have two down votes because people think I disagree with this sentiment you think? Or because they disagree with it themselves? Am I getting things across wrong? Honestly idk. Aspergers is not real, but it’s history for being a distinguisher for “good autist” is very real, and I’m just saying I’m a “bad autist” who’d get the camps, cuz that’s just true, y’know?

Yeah… idk maybe I’m oversensitive, but a part of me can’t help but wonder if self-identified aspies feel embarrassed to be compared to me, even tho I know in a lot of cases it’s just people trying to use archetypes to have their support needs quickly understood or whatever, which may or may not come from an embarrassed place… but I digress… so them like I look at the name of this community and think like “the description says its for “all neurodivergence”, but is the expectation that you have the “less annoying” kind of neurodivergence?” Aha. Idk. Idk. Yet again, auttttism was right there. So was neurodivergentttt come to think of it, if we really wanted to be big tent

I have Asperger’s but they renamed it to level 1 autism because Hans asperger was a nazi so its not called Asperger’s anymore but I have it and thats why I am so stupid and idiotic

I’m level 2 personally. I’m not gonna tell anyone not to call themselves aspergers tbh, I just find it kinda funny thinking on it. The community name using a name traditionally specified for higher-functioning types, I mean… when the option for going with auttttism was right there…

I say Asperger’s because its easier to just say then to explain that its renamed to most people… but usually I dont disclose im autistic because its irrelevant…

Aspergers is traditionally associated with being high-functioning enough to be put to work and not go to the death camps. So “level 1’s” and stuff. Of course my understanding of the term is probably more tainted than most. My boomer Dad feels really superior for being “aspergers”, unlike those lowly non-asperger autists. Also have ran into self-identifying aspergers types who are younger with similar attitudes.
