. Hyper focusing one or more insecurities (also includes thinking abt it constantly)
. Constant mirror checking to point it’s a compulsion (that feels like you have to look constantly or every chance you see a mirror)
. Complete mirror avoidance
. Constant perception changes with face, body or real or perceived insecurity
. Feeling beautiful/good look one day to feeling hideous the next
. Perception changes while staring at the mirror (almost like a hallucination where you see your face change in short amount of time)
Remember bdd can effect anyone doesnt matter if your pretty, ugly or a hon bdd still can effect you
Bdd is serious mental illness that can severely ruin your life quality if possible see a psychologist if not talk abt what you’ve experienced and maybe we can all find better coping mechanisms to deal with bdd.

It’s not usually just one symptom it’s usually a combination of symptoms
It’s similar to ocd where it completely absorbs your entire thought process to the point it’s basically the only thing you can think of.
In my opinion if you see constant perception changes it’s more likely you might have bdd because it’s not normal to see completely different people/face every time you look in a mirror.
Also it’s harder for trans people to realize they have bdd have a lot of symptoms are similar to dyphoria.
