Me personally Im in the middle bc I like 2d pokemon I just hate tall grass its very annoying, yes I could use repels but then I cant catch pokemon… I like what pokemon lazarus and let’s go eevee does where the pokemon are still in the grass but you can see them. I also prefer character customisation in the 3d games bc its very cute

    i prefer doing playthroughs of the older games but i do love the new ones too, theyre fun to shiny hunt in and just roam around

    2d pokemon is mostly known for gen 4 and these days gen 5, but 3d pokemon has gen 7 which is so good… probably the gen with the best art direction. but yeah like all the other 3d pokemon fangames lowkey kinda suck, expect maybe the gen 3 remakes.

    honestly the 3DS generations of pokemon are my favourite in presentation even with their issues but I absolutely love the gen 5 type of artstyle and presentation at times too

    sword and shield was kind of meh in presentation but I still found it okay enough, first legends game was actually good presentation wise also but i just hated the switch era of games presentation wise before and after those two games

    gen 3 artstyle is comically overrated and I will stand by this opinion though

    I’m a gen 3 girl for life. They’re all comfort games for me. There used to be something just so exciting about going over to your friend’s house and seeing what pokemon they had and FINALLY getting to do the trade evo you’ve had waiting for literal months.
